Our Youth In Action
Together with partners like the Missouri Department of Conservation, the EPA, and Heartland Conservation Alliance, we’re on a mission to spark a passion for nature and conservation in our apprentices.
From learning about ecology, green remediation, land and habitat restoration, our team guides our students in gaining valuable skills for future careers in horticulture, landscaping, conservation, and beyond.
With us, it’s all about hands-on learning and exploration, whether we’re trekking through nature trails, collaborating on browns field clean ups, cultivating native prairies, or getting down to business removing invasive species like honeysuckle.
Graduates of our program not only leave with a sense of accomplishment but also with certifications in safety and landscaping to equip them for their future aspirations.
How to Support
Custom Landscapes
Support the program by hiring our team for sustainable and native landscape commissions. Every project directly funds hands-on training, providing students with real-world experience in ecological restoration while creating healthier, more resilient landscapes for our community.
Volunteer
Support the program by volunteering or mentoring, individually or through your company. By sharing time and expertise you help students gain real-world experience, build confidence, and access career pathways in horticulture, conservation, and sustainable land management.

Events
